Good coffe
I wish that I could leave 0 stars for this deli. I came in with my coworkers on the afternoon of November 15th with my co workers. The cashier (Asian woman) asked me what I would like when I walked in. I told her and she told me to step to the left where the deli workers were. They took my order. And when it was ready they placed it underneath the counter while other customers were waiting for their food. I found this to be strange. After I paid for the food (meatloaf) they lifted the food from underneath the counter and gave it to me.After I finished my meal I asked if there was a restroom, the cashier (the same Asian woman) hesitantly told me they did not have a bathroom. When my coworker(Caucasian woman) asked, she told her it was being cleaned. My coworker and I said to each other about how racist they were being and left.
Just grabbed a cob salad with vinegairette. About $9 decent enough.
Good
Pretty good food
The special was hot pastrami on a hero bread. Pastrami had a chemical flavor and no texture. Worst imaginable. Awful. Making matters worse soggy bread due to watery cole slaw. Cole slaw on a pastrami sandwich? Couldn't be worse!
Love this place. Breakfast is cheap and quick. Lunch sandwiches are amazing. They usually have 4 or 5 premade speciality sandwiches that are amazing. Try the Peter lugar so good! Speciality sandwich, drink, bag of chips and a pickle is just under $11. Not the cheapest but totally worth it.
$10 for a chicken salad sandwich on regular bread. They put lettuce and tomato on your sandwich without telling you that it will add $2 to the price. Make sure you're aware of what they're charging you before you order, or they'll rip you off.
Ruben sandwich was amazing!!!!
Great service
Good lunch
Don't go. Don't do it, you will regret it. You are better off getting food from one of the food trucks along 68th street
Over priced
Affordable place to eat
They should be given extra points for being open Christmas day.
sandwich name is....peter luger grill chicken, sweet jay,.It's amazing!!!!Im pretty sure nobody beat hunter deli's sandwich
Go to place for lunch/breakfast. Fresh food.Delivery is super fast.GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE
I see this place lives up to their reputation. Ordered a simple toasted bread with jelly. They deliver a peanut butter sandwich. Are you kidding me? And they tell me they can’t deliver another until after their “dinner rush.” It’s a deli/convenience store. Not a restaurant. What dinner rush?
Been a loyal customer here for a long time and with no issues until now, and to think i tipped every time i came in there. Food and attitudes at this establishment have been going down hill for a while now, and today was the last straw. I used to go once a week and get an egg sandwich and request for it to be toasted, and for the last 3 times and almost evrry other time before that, it would not be toasted. Furthermore, mistakes are common, often not toasted, but with ketchup instead, request bacon, and get sausage. Today really topped it with eggs that were still runny, and bacon that was either pure fat or literally a quarter inch thick.
great values for this area.
Not sure how this received such a high rating worst sandwich only second to the terrible service.
Sandwiches and fries are subpar. Ingredients not that fresh and overpriced. Go somewhere else and avoid the disappointment.
Pretty good food and good selection of sandwiches, but very pricy for a deli
The worst ice tea I have ever tried.A girl behind the cashier was really mad when I asked her to make ice tea with small amount of iceSo she put 3/4 cup of ice, and I paid 4$ for that.Unfortunately I noticed it too late🤬Never come back to this deli with nervous stuff.
Good sandwiches , just a bit overpriced.
That place is over price and the owner or people at the cashier with attitude. Always man drinking like a bar. No good
Good spot for an inexpensive sandwich, wrap, or hot food, a short walk from the Frick Museum.
Horrible experience and place. I go to Hunter college and wanted a quick meal ( hame and cheese sandwich) but what I end up with is a cold sandwich I could make at home for $9!!!! You believe that I get it its manhattan but for $9 i could have gotten more for my buck. Never going back there. And when I asked if they had Hunter student discounts they dont -,- take my schools name off your sign ❌❌😤😤
Great Sandwiches! I always grab their weekday special. This is a grab and go deli so the service is not overly inviting. The best afford sandwiches in the UES.
A bit pricey but the food is good.
Good food reasonable prices. Very pleasant
Among deli standards they have quick, pre-made subs that you can add toppings of your choice. Friendly Service but hard to hear over the tall counter.
Nice Deli in a High End neighborhood. I have only ordered breakfast here. Always decent.
A great deli, quite a variety of food, pleasant people and quick to get your order completed.
Fast with great customer service! For Hunter students: show your ID card to get a 10% discount!
Amazing NY deli check it out if you're in the area and must try.
Amazing deli with great breakfast and lunch. Try the grilled cheese with ham!
Great selection of wraps and make your own salad.
Great food
I always get a triple-decker on whole wheat with chicken salad. It just completes my world. It's the only deli I really like on the east side. Not fancy, just great.
The tuna salad wrap I got here was pretty good as far as wraps go. The guys behind the counter are nice and helpful, but the female Asian cashier is the worst. Her stank attitude is the sole reason I won’t be coming here again.
If you're reading this, please take my advice and do not order for this establishment. Had a large order done. The food was delivered late. The food is mediocre at best. There was an item missing from the order so i called up and they insisted that they sent all the items of my order. Basically, they were convincing me that i was wrong and that what i got is what i order. Had a conversation with them for 10 minutes about the item missing and going back and forth with a women and a man on the phone. The man just wants to hang up the phone and tells me "i dont know man. I cooked all the food. All the food was delivered. Im sorry i have customer to help." Geez guy, i am a customer. Finally the women tells someone to make a new burger but go on the phone and tell me the price for a new burger. Basically telling me pay for the missing item that was already paid for. Don't do it to yourself. Go anywhere else.
It's okay
Fast service & very good price
This place is small and there aren't too many seats but the staff is really friendly and the food here tastes great.
The iced coffee is the best and the sandwiches are great!
Had a sandwich/fries combo (the Manhattan?) and it literally blew my mind. Perfectly tasty and hearty. Would recommend.
They have best gourmet sandwich and delicious hot grilled hero that I never seen
I came here because their profile said made to order sandwiches. Not mine. The clerk pulled the stale sandwich out of the display case. It was on a Sunday with few customers. On a busy weekday I can see premaking some sandwiches. But not when its dead slow.
Great breakfast sandwich
